Job summary

Elsa's is seeking a dedicated line cook to accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot items. The role includes plating, garnishing, and preparing appropriate garnishes for all plates, while maintaining sanitary work areas and following kitchen procedures.

The candidate should have 1 year of kitchen experience, at least 6 months in a similar role, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Communication with team and management is essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 9 hours).

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and other food items for cooking.
• Assumes responsibility for quality of products served.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work station and equipment.
• Plates and garnishes dishes according to presentation standards.
• Assists with closing the kitchen and stays compliant with procedures.
