Job summary

Big Whiskey's of Oklahoma is seeking a skilled line cook to accurately and efficiently prepare meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot dishes. You will plate, garnish, and portion foods, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

The role involves working with various kitchen stations, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and supporting the team during peak hours. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for success in this busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of kitchen prep and cooking experience.
• Must have at least 6 months in a similar role.
• Clear communication with managers, kitchen and dining room staff is required.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Stand for up to 9 hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other equipment.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.
• Keeps standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and procedures.
• Stocks and maintains food at line stations for smooth service.
• Ports and labels portions and ensures rotation.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary workstation and equipment.
• Assists in food prep during off-peak periods and closes kitchen per checklist.
• Attends employee meetings and contributes improvement ideas.
