The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport, RI is seeking a Full-Time Savory Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will work in an open-kitchen environment, delivering precise, high-quality plates while upholding the Guest First philosophy and luxury standards.

Ideal candidates have 2 years pastry experience and strong foundational cooking skills. You will maintain cleanliness, follow HACCP procedures, and collaborate with Sous Chefs to ensure exceptional service during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years pastry experience in luxury hotel, resort, or fine dining.
• Strong foundational cooking skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced open-kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Report to Sous Chefs and support the culinary team in service.
• Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
• Produce high-quality dishes with consistent flavor, timing, and portions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in diverse culinary techniques and station prep.
• Complete mise en place and prep for the assigned station daily.
• Receive, inspect, store, and rotate deliveries per FIFO procedures.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation per HACCP and Newport Health Dept. guidelines.
• Communicate with culinary leadership to ensure smooth service.
• Uphold Guest First philosophy through quality execution and professionalism.
