Job summary

Eataly in Santa Clara, CA is hiring a Line Cook to transform high-quality ingredients into authentic Italian dishes in our open kitchen. You will prep, cook and plate meals, follow recipes, and maintain proper holding temperatures while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 1+ year in a food-prep role, good knife skills, and preferably a culinary arts degree. Availability to work onsite, with evenings, weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a food preparation position.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.
• Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats; maintains holding temperature; fries and sautés.
• Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables for frying or sautéing.
• Plates menu items with appropriate garnish.
• Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and health regulations.
• Performs other duties as required.
