Job summary

Nacho Daddy - Downtown is seeking a reliable line cook to prepare and cook items per our Nacho Daddy recipes, maintain sanitation, and stock prep areas. You will assist with multiple stations, ensure timely ticket execution, and support the dishwashing and kitchen teams during peak hours.

Experience in fast-paced kitchens and a current Food Handler’s Safety Card are required. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working flexible shifts in a busy Las Vegas

Qualifications

Must have a current Food Handler’s Safety Card.
Ability to perform quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
Minimum of 6 months’ experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred (1 year for a line cook).
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
Ability to climb, reach, lift, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Safety and sanitation to maintain a clean and stocked prep/kitchen area and equipment following all health and safety guidelines.
Sanitizer testing and maintenance of solution every 2-4 hours.
Open and close prep area and kitchen checklists.
Prepare foods using meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items for cooking on broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, etc.
Follow standard portion sizes, recipe cards, cooking methods, plate presentation, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
Maintain walk-in cooler and labeled foods; ensure FIFO storage.
