Job summary

The Baxter Hotel is seeking a Line Cook for The Bacchus Pub in Bozeman, MT. You will prepare hot and cold dishes to recipe standards, monitor portions, manage inventories, and keep a clean, organized kitchen.

This role reports to the Chef and supports a busy, guest-focused dining program. Qualifications include strong food prep knowledge, attention to quality, and excellent communication with kitchen and service teams.

Qualifications

• Food preparation and production knowledge, including handling and storage.
• Quality control to meet restaurant standards and presentation.
• Customer service delivered with professionalism and efficiency.
• Clear verbal and written communication with kitchen and front-of-house.
• Cooperate with kitchen staff and management to maintain service flow.
• Flexibility to work overtime and assist others as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect kitchen surfaces for safety and sanitation.
• Prepare food according to recipes and menus.
• Season and cook food with judgment and experience.
• Ensure proper presentation and dish quality.
• Estimate food consumption from trends and events.
• Inventory, place orders, store and rotate stock.
• Organize storage and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
• Consult with supervisors to plan menus considering costs.
