Job summary

Midnight Auteur is seeking a Cook I to join a fast-paced, luxury hotel kitchen led by a creative culinary team. You will bring precision, passion, and a deep respect for quality ingredients, contributing to a story-telling menu in a vibrant lobby bar setting.

You will work with a collaborative team, focusing on consistency, technique, and excellent guest experience while adapting to evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional kitchen experience in fine dining or high-volume settings.
• Solid understanding of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and food safety practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, broilers, fryers.
• Excellent communication skills with team members.

Responsibilities

• Turn on and off all equipment before and after service.
• Set stations with sanitation buckets and maintain them every 2 hours.
• Prepare menu items following recipes to par levels.
• Reproduce dishes during service as shown by the Chef; ensure quality and presentation.
• Operate grills, saute9, fry, garde-manger stations with efficiency.
• Collaborate with culinary and service teams for timely service.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation; follow safety protocols.
• Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory.
