Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group is seeking a Line Cook to support the kitchen team and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. You will handle assigned prep work and operate your station, while learning all menu items according to recipes and specifications.

As a member of the Kitchen Team you will be cross-trained in all kitchen roles, maintain safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a positive, guest-focused dining experience in a family atmosphere.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Capable of using knives and other food preparation equipment.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Responds in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes, plate presentations and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
