Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Kitchen/Line Cook for The Westin at The Woodlands. Prepare high-quality dishes following recipes and production standards, assist in kitchen functions, and ensure proper handling of perishables.

The role requires dexterity to operate food machinery, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and reliable attendance. Prior hotel kitchen experience is preferred, with responsibilities spanning daily prep, food safety, and collaborative team support.

Qualifications

• Hotel kitchen or food service experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items in advance without over-preparing.
• Date and rotate perishables per HEI standards.
• Check pars for shift use and assist in maintaining buffet stock.
• Return unused items to storage, cover/date perishables.
• Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment according to guidelines.
• Attend work regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
