Job summary

Dollywood's HeartSong Lodge & Resort is seeking a Cook II for a full-time year-round position. The role covers hot and cold food preparation, station management, banquet cooking, brick oven cooking, and strict adherence to health and safety standards across the resort culinary operation.

Requirements include 1–2 years of cooking experience and the ability to obtain a Food Handler certification. A strong team player capable of working evenings and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years cooking experience in similar operation.
• Must be able to obtain Food handler certification.

Responsibilities

• The Cook II is responsible for resort Culinary activities, including hot and cold food preparation, vegetable and meat processing/fabrication, ala carte hot line with tickets, banquet cooking, brick oven cooking, merchandise handling, ware washing, and cleanliness and sanitation procedures.
• Checks with Sous Chef for daily objectives; ascertains daily specials and methods of preparation, ensures dishes meet standard recipes and presentations, maintains clean workstation and sanitary environment, performs banquet and kitchen line functions, and adheres to safety, labeling, dating and FIFO procedures.
