Job summary

Arc Broward in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Line Cook to support the kitchen team, train a small group of individuals to become food service workers, and uphold Arc Broward standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality in a fast-paced environment.

You will prepare and cook menu items, maintain sanitation, assist with catering, and participate in training and development through our paid program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute.
• 1–3 years of food service experience.
• Pass Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a team; strong English communication.
• Ability to walk short distances.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with training a small group of individuals to become food service workers.
• Prepare and cook all menu items while following Arc Broward policies on quality, sanitation, and portion control.
• Help maintain the kitchen and food storage areas in an efficient, clean, and organized manner.
• Assist in catering functions in preparation, setup, and delivery; supervise trainees in the chef’s absence.
