Job summary

The Cook I at Pechanga Resort Casino prepares and cooks menu items using established culinary techniques under the guidance of the Sous Chef, following recipes and service standards.

They will operate basic kitchen equipment, maintain a sanitary workstation, and assist in ingredient preparation while upholding health and safety regulations and portion controls.

Flexibility to work various shifts and a commitment to Four Diamond guest service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary school credential preferred.
• 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience may substitute education requirements.
• Must obtain Class “B” gaming license and Food Handler certifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes and directions accurately.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring quality and freshness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all food products per health and safety regulations.
• Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
• Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation.
• Collaborate with kitchen team and respond to feedback.
• Perform basic cleaning duties to ensure kitchen sanitation.
• Seek guidance from senior team members for complex tasks.
• Protect the assets of PRC.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
