Job summary

SMI Hotel Group is seeking a cook to deliver high-quality meals with strong presentation and cooking skills. You will join a team focused on consistent recipes, proper portioning, and attention to food appearance.

This role requires at least 1 year of kitchen experience, a HS diploma or GED, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Benefits are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience cooking in a restaurant or hotel.
• Culinary school 2–4 year degree preferred.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or direct preparation of food using established recipes.
• Determine food quantities and supplies using production systems.
• Comply with sanitation, hygiene and health standards.
• Prepare all foods following standard recipes and diet orders.
• Plan production to meet meal times while preserving quality.
• Keep work area neat and clean; maintain equipment.
• Prep food for the next shift and the following day.
• Work with servers to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve issues.
• Communicate effectively with diverse staff.
• Prioritize tasks to meet quality and timing.
• Other duties as assigned.
