Job summary

Timbers Kaua‘i at Hōkūala on Kaua‘i seeks an experienced line cook to join the kitchen team and deliver consistent, high-quality service in a fast-paced setting. You will work under the Sous Chef, perform mise-en-place, and ensure standards for food safety and sanitation.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of line cook experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to mentor junior staff while maintaining efficiency and quality during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Four plus years high volume line cook experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluent ability to read and speak presumably in English at work location.
• Able to read and follow recipes and standard procedures.
• Good mathematical skills for measuring ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place to the standard set by the Sous Chef.
• Maintain efficient and accurate use of produce and equipment.
• Adhere to sanitation and proper food handling techniques.
• Provide friendly, courteous and professional service.
• Mentor junior staff and train new team members.
• Ensure kitchen is clean and sanitary before and after service.
• Track inventory and submit ordering requisitions daily.
