Job summary

The Kalispel Tribe of Indians is seeking a cook to prepare and present soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts for tribal dining facilities. You will follow recipes, support the Sous Chef with specialty dishes, and rotate items to maintain quality.

The role requires adherence to strict food safety standards and willingness to work varied shifts. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED and one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with high-volume cooking is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other dishes for consumption in eating establishments.
• Adheres to recipes and procedures; ensures food is prepared to specifications.
• Assists Sous Chef in preparing specialty dishes.
• Rotates food products daily to maintain quality.
• Complies with FDA food safety and sanitation guidelines and HACCP requirements.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
