Job summary

J.C. Newman Cigar Co. in Tampa’s El Reloj District is seeking a Line Cook to join a landmark hospitality team.

The role supports daily kitchen operations, prepares and executes menu items, follows recipes, and works closely with the culinary team to ensure quality and consistency across all service periods. You bring at least 1 year of line cook experience, strong culinary knowledge, and a passion for cooking and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of line cook experience in a professional kitchen.
• Scratch cooking experience and French cuisine a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation and dietary restrictions.
• Ability to multi-task during busy service and follow leadership directions.
• Food Handler Card and/or safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations before service.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, and proteins for service.
• Cook and execute menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure on-time service.
• Maintain clean, sanitary workstation and proper food rotation.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and back-of-house duties.
