Job summary

RA Sushi Austin is seeking a dedicated line cook to handle grilled, broiled, fried, and sautéed items in our kitchen. You will prepare and portion ingredients, plate and garnish dishes, and maintain a sanitary workstation in line with our standards.

The ideal candidate has prior food prep experience, restaurant exposure, is at least 18 years old, and may be bilingual. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; benefits include shift meals and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation.
• Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs preparations of all recipes with correct portion sizes.
• Prepares cold and hot food items using standardized recipes.
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours.
• Selects knives, tools and equipment to portion, cut, grill, or garnish.
• Maintains sanitation standards and personal hygiene.
