Job summary

Sifted in Austin, TX is seeking a Line Cook to heat up the kitchen in a fast-paced commissary setting. You will work side by side with an experienced executive chef, cleaning and preparing meats and vegetables, and helping expedite product to service.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen roles such as line cook or prep/dishwasher.
• Experience with catering and event servicing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients and equipment.
• Experience with Google applications (Gmail, Google Drive) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparing meats and vegetables.
• Stewarding, expediting product out of the door.
• Maintaining clear communication with the executive chef and city manager at all times.
• Keeping station and work areas clean at all times.
• Taking ownership of whatever task is at hand.
