Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a dedicated line cook to support our hospital kitchen operations at 75 Francis Street. You will prepare and cook food items according to recipes, assist at stations, and help ensure quality and food safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (Culinary training preferred), 1–2 years of kitchen experience, strong knife skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Culinary trade/technical diploma preferred.
• Can substitute experience for formal degree.
• 1–2 years Line Cook or Related Kitchen Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, portions, and quality standards.
• Assist at a specific station or section within the kitchen (grill, sauté, pantry, pastry).
• Utilize a variety of cooking techniques (grilling, frying, baking, roasting, sautéing) to prepare dishes.
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean, organized, and sanitized.
