Alta Mira Recovery in Sausalito, CA is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare all food items in a sanitary, timely manner and follow recipes. This full-time position requires attention to presentation, portion control, and timely restocking of items.

Schedule is 40 hours per week with full benefits. Compensation for the Cook role ranges from $22 to $27 per hour, commensurate with experience and location in California.

• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
• Cleans and maintains station with strong safety and sanitation.
• Maintains all kitchen equipment and uses it properly.
• Supports cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
• Ensures safety and HIPAA policy compliance.
• All other duties as assigned

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the supervisor.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
• Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.
• Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.
• Checks for and reports potential hazards or breaches of security plans while in the workplace or in the field.
• Encourages and supports others to be safe while at work.
• Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices that could affect individuals served, staff, and other people coming to the organization’s facilities.
• Fully understand and maintain policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality; monitor documents according to company and HIPAA policies
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Self-motivated and reliable.

• Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Candidates must pass a comprehensive background check.
• Candidates must pass a 10 panel drug screen which includes Marijuana.

Compensation range for the Cook role is $22-27 / hr.

The range provided is for California based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than CA may differ based on the cost of living in that geographic location.
