Frothy Monkey in Chattanooga is seeking an energetic Line Cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and enjoys teamwork as well as independent tasks. You will follow recipes, prep stations, and help keep the kitchen clean and organized during busy service hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of local food handling and safety guidelines/standards.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and kitchen staff.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in using knives to prepare ingredients with precision and efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, including regular cleaning and occasional deep cleaning.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as cooking various dishes and managing different orders at once.
• Prepare stations before service and restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift.
• Follow established recipes to prepare dish components accurately and consistently.
• Maintain consistency in food preparation by following approved recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Assist in portioning and prepping ingredients for upcoming shifts.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste.
• Support kitchen operations by performing additional duties as required.
