Job summary

Frothy Monkey is seeking a Line Cook to join our all-day menu environment with breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner service in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will work closely with a team to prepare ingredients, follow recipes, maintain cleanliness, and ensure quality while handling multiple orders and duties during shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of local food handling and safety guidelines/standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in using knives to prepare ingredients with precision and efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, including regularly scheduled cleaning and occasional deep cleaning.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as cooking various dishes and managing different orders at once.
• Prepare stations before service and restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow established recipes to prepare dish components accurately and consistently.
• Maintain consistency in food preparation by following approved recipes, portion sizes, and kitchen procedures.
• Assist in portioning and prepping ingredients for upcoming shifts to facilitate efficient workflow.
• Monitor product freshness and follow proper rotation procedures to maintain quality and minimize waste.
• Support kitchen operations by performing additional duties as required.
