Job summary

Frothy Monkey in Nashville, TN is seeking a Line Cook to join our all-day menu team serving breakfast through dinner. You will work in a warm, fast-paced kitchen, maintaining quality and consistency while following family recipes and safety standards.

The role requires experience as a line cook in high-volume settings, strong teamwork and the ability to manage multiple tasks during busy shifts. This on-site position offers evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as needed, with a focus on quality,

Qualifications

• Experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of local food handling and safety guidelines/standards.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and or holidays as required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and kitchen staff.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in using knives to prepare ingredients with precision and efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, including regularly scheduled cleaning and occasional deep cleaning.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as cooking various dishes and managing different orders at once.
• Prepare stations before service and restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow established recipes to prepare dish components accurately and consistently.
• Maintain consistency in food preparation by following approved recipes, portion sizes, and kitchen procedures.
• Assist in portioning and prepping ingredients for upcoming shifts to facilitate efficient workflow.
• Monitor product freshness and follow proper rotation procedures to maintain quality and minimize waste.
• Support kitchen operations by performing additional duties as required.
