Job summary

Longo is seeking a Line Cook – Full Time for the Market Cafe at our Support Centre. You will prepare and cook daily breakfast and lunch, and assist with weekly dinner features and catering orders for internal teams.

Shift options are 6:30AM-3:00PM or 7:30AM-4:30PM, rotating every three weeks, Monday to Friday. The role emphasizes fast-paced teamwork, food safety, and delivering quality customer service to internal staff.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work Monday–Friday during the day.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong initiative and sense of urgency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable team player.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers visiting the Market Cafe.
• Provide food recommendations and product information (ingredients, nutrition, value, storage, cooking).
• Plan & Prepare weekly menus with the Market Cafe Team Lead.
• Prepare & Cook daily breakfast and lunch menus.
• Prepare, Cook & Deliver catering orders.
• Set-up the Market Cafe (presentation, stocking, displays, rotation).
• Check dates and remove substandard products from coolers/counters/shelves.
• Prepare products per department standards and production needs.
• Adhere to Longo’s dress code and food safety standards.
