Job summary

The U.S. Naval Academy Hospitality Team in Annapolis, Maryland is seeking skilled Line Cooks for a 7-day operation. This NA-7404-05 full-time role supports food preparation, following standardized recipes, and maintaining cleanliness.

The position offers a set schedule with flexible scheduling, to cover day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Qualifications include line cook experience or similar culinary duties, knowledge of food service equipment, FIFO storage and ServSafe preferred;

Qualifications

• Experience in a culinary role with line cook duties preferred.
• Knowledge of food service equipment and safe handling practices.
• Experience with proper storage techniques like FIFO; ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cooks in their tasks.
• Obtains necessary products and small equipment items for food preparation.
• Follows standard recipes and uses correct measuring devices.
• Operates food production and serving equipment per manufacturers’ instructions.
• Maintains safe, sanitary food handling practices and personal hygiene.
• Returns soiled utensils to proper areas and keeps work station clean.
• Maintains accurate records of food supplies and temperatures.
• Assists in plating and in order of stock and deliveries.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
