Job summary

North Italia in Cerritos, CA is hiring line cooks for a part-time role. You will prepare authentic Italian dishes from scratch, follow recipes, and work with broilers, ovens, grills and other kitchen equipment.

We offer health benefits after 25 hours/week, paid time off, free shift meals, a 35% dining discount, up to 50% next-day pay, and a GED/Associates degree program. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; minimum 2 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• Good English communication skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic Italian dishes from scratch following the recipe to produce consistent results.
• Know and comply with standard cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen practices.
• Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Portion all products, follow recipes, and ensure plate presentation looks beautiful.
• Keep the station clean; follow sanitation standards and food handling practices.
