Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook for Virginia Beach to prepare meals per approved menus, considering residents' dietary needs. The role includes supervising dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director and ensuring a clean, safe kitchen environment.

You will monitor temperatures, maintain portions, and record daily checks. A Serv-Safe certification and ability to stand long hours are required, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Competenze

• Experience in dining services is required.
• Serv-Safe certification or willing to obtain within 60 days.
• Basic understanding of food service operations and sanitation.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Able to learn quickly and follow directions.
• Experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Mansioni

• Prepare meals per approved menus and recipes.
• Maintain a clean, orderly kitchen and work area.
• Monitor and record food temperatures multiple times daily.
• Report faulty equipment and supply needs to supervisor.
• Substitute menu items with approvals as needed.
