M Crowd Restaurant Group is hiring a Cook for Mi Cocina Preston Forest in Dallas, TX. The Cook will prepare meat, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot items, portion ingredients, assist with final plate assembly, and ensure dishes are plated and garnished to brand standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Some experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred, but willingness to learn necessary skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Knows and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods and kitchen rules.
• Stocks and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations for smooth service.
• Portions food before cooking according to standard sizes and recipes.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area and equipment.
• Prepares items for cooking by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and marinating.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Properly handles, stores, and rotates all products per company standards.
• Assists in food prep during off-peak periods and supports closing procedures.
