Job summary

Settles Hill Banquets & Events is seeking a Line Cook to join our busy kitchen. The role involves preparing meals with high-quality ingredients for guests in a fast-paced setting, requiring a positive, professional attitude and a passion for creating an outstanding dining experience.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience in a similar line cook role with frying, grilling and sautéing.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler certification preferred.
• Advanced culinary techniques and recipes knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items in a sanitary and timely manner following safety regulations.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Assist with cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment; participate in opening/closing duties.
• Restock items and maintain inventory levels.
• Ensure quality of food that is cooked and served.
• Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by head chef or management.
