Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Cook to prepare menu items according to standards and contribute to guest satisfaction in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, operate line equipment, monitor temperatures, and support the Manager on Duty to ensure quality and safety. The role requires clear communication and adherence to food safety procedures; training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in-house training.
• Must be able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work well groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and practices good personal hygiene.
• Uses, maintains, and cleans kitchen line equipment, plus prep areas.
• Stocks and rotates products on cooking line.
• Knows cooking stations, menu items and prep procedures for correct portions and timing.
• Cooks and prepares menu items according to guest requests and safety procedures.
• Monitors food temperatures to reduce risk of illness.
• Identifies and fixes system issues to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with Manager on Duty and coworkers about deficiencies or safety problems.
