Job summary

Arcadia Tavern in Phoenix, AZ seeks a talented Line Cook to oversee daily kitchen operations, coordinate food preparation activities, and ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards. You will lead prep, maintain station setup, and work with the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

The role requires strong food safety knowledge, multitasking ability, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Previous line cook experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge and proper storage, handling, and hygiene procedures.
• Time management in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate preparation and presentation.
• Teamwork and communication with kitchen staff and front-of-house.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Formal culinary education or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock your assigned station with supplies and ingredients.
• Utilize grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and baking techniques.
• Maintain deep understanding of the menu, ingredients, portions, and presentation.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of orders.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to coordinate prep and service.
• Inspect food items for quality and freshness and address issues with management.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to kitchen management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
