Job summary

Thompson Dallas is seeking a Cook to join its hotel kitchen team. You will accurately cook and assemble dishes that meet culinary standards, maintain mise en place, and uphold station readiness to support the Chef team.

Responsibilities include following opening/closure protocols, proper food handling, sanitation, and bringing personal tools. Prior upscale/fine dining experience and a Food Handlers Certification are preferred/required.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred but not required.
• Upscale and/or fine dining experiences preferred.
• Food Handlers Certifications required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Execute food product that meets culinary standards
• Maintain understanding of cooking times and temperatures as dictated by Chef Team
• Maintain an understanding of proper kitchen opening and closure protocol
• Handle, store, and rotate all product properly
• Report to scheduled shifts, meetings, and events on time and ready to work
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and area
• Responsible for bringing personal cutlery tools/knife roll
