Job summary

Gunstock Mountain Resort is seeking an experienced Cook to join our winter kitchen team. You will prepare meals according to recipes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure food safety standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the winter season at Gunstock.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing meals.
• Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Solid knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary best practices.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock station and ensure other work areas are stocked accordingly, as directed by Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Utilize proper recipes, equipment, tools and utensils.
• Adhere to company standards for food quality, taste, flavor and presentation.
• Ensure that food is portioned and presented according to standards, as well as guest specifications and preferences.
• Ensure all products are prepared, held and served at correct temperatures.
• Participate and assist in coordinating the flow of work within the culinary department to maximize quality and efficiency.
