Job summary

30hop American Bar & Kitchen is seeking Line Cooks to join our back-of-house team in Omaha, NE. We offer both full-time and part-time evening shifts with a focus on efficiency and teamwork.

As a line cook, you will prepare and cook menu items using grilling, frying, sautéing, broiling, and other methods, while maintaining high quality and food safety standards. Benefits are available after eligibility and include dining discounts and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
• Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked cooking station.
• Prepare and cook menu items using grilling, frying, sautéing, broiling, and other cooking methods.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food preparation standards.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation throughout service.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, and other items needed for service.
• Properly label, rotate, store, and handle food according to food safety standards.
• Communicate with kitchen leadership and teammates to ensure timely and accurate orders.
• Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift.
• Complete assigned cleaning and closing duties.
• Support other kitchen stations and prep operations as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned
