Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking motivated kitchen staff to efficiently produce all assigned menu items following Kj’s and Bluebird Kitchen specifications. We offer weekly pay, benefits, and a pension plan. You will set up stations, prepare diverse items, and maintain cleanliness and safety to ensure high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to actively engage guests.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to effectively communicate with and take direction from supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, dairy, and other food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
• Processes prepared foods for service using standard kitchen equipment.
• Ensure each item is prepared according to the recipe specifications, documentation, and Bluebird Kitchen Manager.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area, including tables, shelves, cooking equipment, prep equipment, and storageequipment during and after service.
• Stock inventory appropriately and according to established standards and systems.
• Ensure the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of products served.
• Maintain safety and sanitation throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guest service consistent with our established Purpose, Priorities, and Service Standards.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the management staff.
