Job summary

Kj’s Market is hiring for a kitchen team member to efficiently prepare and portion food following Kj’s and Bluebird Kitchen specifications. You will set up stations, prep a variety of ingredients, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced environment.

Accurate recipe adherence, friendly guest interaction, and the ability to lift heavy items are essential. We offer weekly pay, benefits, and growth within a family-owned Carolina-grown business.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, dairy, and other items using knives, mixers, blenders, processors, scales and bags.
• Process prepared foods for service using standard kitchen equipment.
• Ensure each item is prepared according to recipe specifications and Bluebird Kitchen Manager.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and storage areas during and after service.
• Stock inventory according to standards and systems.
• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of products.
• Maintain safety and sanitation throughout the department.
• Provide guest service consistent with company standards.
• Ensure product quality for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
