Newark Food Factory, powered by Ideal Institute of Technology, seeks a dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare high-quality meals, maintain a clean workstation, and support catering, events, takeout, delivery, and culinary training activities.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or similar kitchen role preferred.
• Able to follow recipes and verbal instructions.
• Punctual and team-oriented.
• ServSafe certification preferred or obtainable within required timeframe.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, portion standards, and Head Chef guidance.
• Set up and stock cooking stations before each shift.
• Assist with catering orders, private events, takeout, and delivery prep.
• Follow food-handling, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen, including equipment and storage areas.
• Label, date, rotate, and store food properly.
• Monitor inventory and report low-stock items to Head Chef.
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
