Job summary

Alexander's Restaurant in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking a motivated and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. The role focuses on preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards while upholding cleanliness and food safety.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, following standard recipes, using appropriate equipment, and assisting with preparation of other line items as needed to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.
• Carefully follow standard recipes when pre-preparing and preparing all times.
• Use food preparation equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions.
• Clean work station.
• Return unused food products to proper storage areas.
• Assist with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
• Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Return soiled food preparation utensils and other small ware items to the proper areas.
