Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking a line cook to work with the kitchen staff in daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food for the restaurant in a safe and sanitary work environment.

You will prepare and cook items according to recipes and supervisor instructions, rotate and date food, perform station checklists, and maintain cleanliness and equipment operation while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• At least one year of culinary knowledge.
• Food Safety certified and strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; assists customers and coworkers.
• Ability to communicate issues to management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain and rotate all food items; date and label; practice FIFO.
• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment and work areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Operate food stations; perform station checklists and temperature logs.
• Requisition food supplies and equipment based on future needs.
• Monitor menus and spending to ensure economical meal prep.
• Be knowledgeable of all stations and menu item presentations.
• Report safety issues to management.
