Job summary

The Garden Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, FL, onsite, is seeking a Line Cook to join Stay Hospitality's culinary team. You will prepare and cook menu items to established recipes, maintain a clean, safe station, and collaborate with the kitchen to deliver high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling allergies, assisting with prep and inventory, and supporting opening/closing duties while maintaining standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to follow recipes and portion controls
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (grills, ovens, fryers, slicers)
• Ensure food quality, freshness, and consistency
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Follow health and safety procedures for handling, storage and sanitation
• Identify and manage allergens to prevent cross-contamination
• Assist with prep work, stock rotation and inventory management
• Communicate with Executive Chef and kitchen team for timely service
• Assist with opening/closing duties and kitchen setup/breakdown
• Report stock levels, equipment issues or safety concerns to management
• Uphold Stay Hospitality standards and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
