Job summary

Tin Roost in North Liberty is seeking a part-time Line Cook to join our Back of House team in a fast-paced kitchen setting. You’ll prepare quality food, keep stations stocked, and support a great dining experience for guests.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. Prior line cook experience is preferred but not required, with weekday availability and a 18+ age requirement. Competitive hourly pay and employee perks offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook or in a restaurant kitchen preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Set up and maintain a clean, stocked, and organized cooking station.
• Manage orders during service while maintaining consistency and food quality.
• Complete daily food prep and restock ingredients as needed.
• Follow proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
• Follow established food safety guidelines.
• Work closely with kitchen teammates and managers to keep service running smoothly.
• Assist with prep work, inventory, and other kitchen tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
