Job summary

Iowa Athletic Club in Coralville, IA is hiring part-time Line Cooks to join our Back of House team. Our locally operated sports bar and restaurant features a made-from-scratch kitchen, delivering a fast-paced environment where you can build cooking skills and take pride in the food you serve.

Compensation ranges from $15 to $22 per hour, depending on experience. Evening and weekend availability is preferred, with 25% dining discount and other benefits for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to follow direction.
• Willing to learn and maintain consistent food quality.
• Able to stand and move throughout scheduled shifts.
• Able to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock cooking stations with ingredients, equipment, and supplies.
• Prepare ingredients through chopping, slicing, portioning, and other daily prep tasks.
• Cook menu items using grilling, frying, sautéing, broiling, and other cooking methods.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards to maintain consistency.
• Keep up with incoming orders while maintaining food quality and accuracy.
• Properly label, store, and rotate food products.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked workstations throughout service.
• Follow established food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning, and opening or closing responsibilities.
• Communicate with kitchen teammates and leadership to support smooth service.
• Additional duties as assigned

Compensation
