Job summary

Tin Roost in North Liberty is seeking part-time Food Runners to join our Front of House team. You'll help connect the kitchen and dining room by delivering food, supporting the service team, and keeping shifts running smoothly during busy periods.

We are a locally owned restaurant serving American favorites from a scratch kitchen. Fully trained Food Runners earn $8.10 per hour plus tips, distributed the following morning.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable standing, walking, and staying active throughout a shift
• Friendly, dependable, and able to communicate effectively
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to help wherever needed
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is helpful

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to tables promptly and accurately while ensuring proper presentation
• Communicate with kitchen and service staff to keep orders moving efficiently
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for incoming guests
• Assist servers and other team members during busy periods
• Keep dining areas, service stations, and restrooms clean and organized
• Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service
• Support the host stand with seating guests and distributing menus
• Help maintain the waitlist and communicate estimated wait times
• Assist with table assignments and guest seating flow
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and takeout orders as needed
• Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a Food Runner, you'll help connect the kitchen and dining room by delivering food, supporting the service team, and keeping things running smoothly during busy shifts.

Tin Roost is a locally owned restaurant serving American favorites made in our scratch kitchen. With a spacious dining room, large outdoor patio, and welcoming atmosphere, we're a busy restaurant where teamwork and great service make all the difference.

Fully trained Food Runners earn $8.10 per hour plus tips. Tips are distributed the following morning.
