Job summary

Scott Enterprises Restaurant Division in the United States is seeking kitchen staff to prepare and plate food to company specifications, while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will work in a fast-paced environment, rotating products, using proper storage, and ensuring timely, accurate service for guests.

We offer full-time and part-time positions with benefits and a compensation range of $13.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on shift and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive and professional approach to job duties, team members and guests.
• Works effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling stressful situations with patience.
• Shows urgency and strong attention to detail to get tasks done right the first time.
• Manages multiple tasks without compromising quality or cost controls.
• Understands safe food handling and kitchen safety procedures.
• Stores delivery items properly in shelves and walk-in cooler/freezer.
• Rotates food to preserve quality and reduce waste.
• Uses AM/PM checklists to determine quantities for the shift.
• Assembles and activates ovens, broilers, fryers, and other equipment.
• Prepares food items to order or in advance as needed, including steaks, chicken, fish, potatoes, salads, etc.
• Presents plated items per guest orders and company specifications for pickup.
• Empties trash and handles dirty dishes for cleaning.
• Maintains a sanitary workstation with a clean-as-you-go approach.
• Follows restaurant recipe manuals for item preparation.
• Applies safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Uses checklists to assess food quantities and collaborates with staff.
• Demonstrates teamwork with other staff and adheres to all restaurant policies and safety rules.
• Arrives on time, well groomed and properly attired; conducts self professionally toward guests and staff.
• Keeps trade secrets confidential and maintains confidentiality of recipes and policies.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
