Job summary

Le Meridien Charlotte and Sheraton Charlotte are seeking a motivated Cook to join our culinary team. The role involves preparing sauces and dishes for breakfast and lunch, opening/closing duties in the absence of the Executive Chef, and maintaining health standards in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The position is full-time with flexibility for AM or PM shifts, supporting a high-quality dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Open kitchen in absence of Executive Chef/Close kitchen in absence of Executive Chef.
• Follow written recipes for all menu items.
• Report out of stock items to the Executive Chef.
• Prepare sauces and dishes for breakfast and lunch menus.
• Set up restaurant and employee cafeteria buffet.
• Prepare soups under the Executive Chef’s direction.
• Supervise and assist dishwashers and pantry personnel.
• Ensure dining room staff adhere to ordering and pickup procedures.
• Perform dinner set-up according to the Prep List.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards.
