Flagship Restaurant Group's Blue Sushi Sake Grill in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and cook menu items to meet quality and presentation standards, and you will set up stations with the necessary supplies for each shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required, as we offer a comprehensive training program.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to read, write, and follow instructions effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, walking).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and uphold food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to meet quality and presentation standards, ensuring consistency in every dish.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies for the shift for efficient cooking.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food.
• Assist in inventory management, including rotating stock and notifying management of low items.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and keep areas sanitary.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
