Job summary

Back Alley Bowling is seeking line cooks for its kitchen inside the 24-lane bowling center in Glendale, CA. The role requires 18+ years old, previous kitchen experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment including nights and weekends. A California Food Handler Card and English proficiency are required.

This position offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities to work with a fun team in a bowling-focused venue with events and parties.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must have previous kitchen experience.
• Must possess CA Food Handler Card.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Must be able to bend and kneel, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be willing to work day, night, weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Use scales and other measuring devices to ensure consistent portioning and cost control.
• Observe proper procedures for use of all cooking equipment and preparation tools.
• Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and mixing.
• Follow recipes and plate presentations; check temperatures to ensure safety.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper storage of food items.
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service.
