Job summary

Sifted in New York City is seeking a Line Cook to heat up the commissary kitchen. You will work with an experienced chef in a fast-paced environment and support daily operations with reliability and teamwork.

Shifts are Monday through Friday, 3:00am–11:00pm. Responsibilities include prep of meats and vegetables, labeling, cleaning, and maintaining sanitation. Pay is $25 per hour; benefits include health insurance, 401(k) after six months, PTO, holidays, and paid winter break.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relative experience in full service, moderate to high volume Restaurant, Club or Catering establishment.
• Culinary degree or similar preferable.
• Ability to communicate in basic English and basic Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparing meats and vegetables.
• Stewarding and expediting product out of the door.
• Maintain clear communication with executive chef and city manager.
• Keep station and work areas clean at all times.
• Take ownership of tasks at hand.
• Labeling and organizing pans and delis; discard outdated product.
• Assist with daily deep-clean items and enforce sanitary regulations and safety standards.
• Assist the Executive Chef in production, packout, and cleanup.
