Job summary

The Westin Poinsett, Greenville is seeking a Line Cook to join our on-site kitchen team under HEI Hotels & Resorts. You will prepare food to consistent standards, support kitchen operations, and help maintain buffet stations.

Hotel experience is preferred with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, strong communication, and reliability in a fast-paced environment. Competitive benefits are provided by HEI.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery and tools.
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
• Start food items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing.
• Check pars for shift use, plan necessary preparation and line setup.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked and food costs under control.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and maintain general cleanliness.
