Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated line cook for The Westin Poinsett Greenville to prepare food to high standards within a hotel kitchen. You will follow recipes, manage prep, and support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and teamwork is essential. Prior hotel or culinary experience is preferred; join a historic downtown Greenville property and contribute to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to overprepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate per HEI Hotels & Resorts standards; keep perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup.
• Return all unused food to designated storage areas with date and cover perishables.
• Assist in setting up plans to correct food cost problems, control waste and usage per standards.
